Trust isn't a badge. It's a system.
The question every family asks is simple: “Can I trust this person with my parent?” Here is exactly how we earn that trust.
- 1
Identity verification
We confirm who every Companion is before anything else.
- 2
Background verification
Where appropriate, background and reference checks are completed — we never claim 'verified' unless it's true.
- 3
Human interview
A real conversation about patience, respect and boundaries — not an automated score.
- 4
Training
The Viora programme: elder communication, dignity, accessibility, emergencies, privacy and clear do-nots.
- 5
Approval
Only approved Companions can ever be matched to a family.
- 6
Check-in & check-out
Every visit is bookended so families always know what's happening.
- 7
Visit report
A short, respectful summary after each visit — sensitive details stay private.
- 8
Incident management
Any concern can be reported and is reviewed by our team; serious issues can suspend a Companion while investigated.
What a Companion will never do
- Ask for PINs, OTPs, passwords or bank details
- Borrow money, ask for gifts, or handle an elder's accounts
- Diagnose conditions or give unauthorised medical treatment
- Take an elder somewhere outside the agreed booking
- Record photos or video without consent
- Bring unauthorised people to a visit
In an emergency
Viora is a companionship service — not a medical or emergency service. If something serious happens, your Companion follows our escalation protocol: contact emergency services, notify your emergency contact, and alert Viora support. Every incident is recorded and followed up.
